Rockwool ฉนวนใยหิน

Rockwool หรือ ฉนวนใยหิน ผลิตจากหินแต่มีรูปร่างลักษณะและการใช้งานเหมือนขนสัตว์ ซึ่งเป็นฉนวนธรรมชาติ วัตถุดิบที่เหมาะสมที่สุดสำหรับร็อควูล คือ หินปูนและบาซอลท์ โดยวัตถุดิบจะถูกหลอมในเตาเผาที่ใช้ถ่านโค้กเป็นเชื้อเพลิงที่อุณหภูมิประมาณ 1300^๐C วัตถุดิบที่หลอมเหลวจะถูกทำให้เป็นเส้นใย โดยใช้ล้อหมุนที่ลดอุณหภูมิด้วยน้ำ เส้นใยเหล่านี้จะถูกเคลือบด้วยสารผนึกที่เป็นเทอร์โมเซตติ้ง ซึ่งเมื่อบ่มด้วยความร้อนแล้วจะเชื่อมเส้นใยเข้าด้วยกันเป็นผืน หลังจากนั้นจะถูกตัดเป็นชิ้นส่วนขนาดต่างๆ ทั้งชนิดแผ่นที่มีขนาดเล็กและแข็ง หรือชนิดม้วนที่มีขนาดใหญ่กว่าร็อควูลชนิดแผ่นและม้วนที่ผลิตได้จะมีความหนาแน่นและความหนาต่างกันได้หลายขนาด ความหนาแน่นปกติอยู่ช่วง 40 – 200 กก./ลบ.ม. และความหนาปกติอยู่ในช่วง 50 – 200 มม. ฉนวนแบบท่อที่ขึ้นรูปไว้ล่วงหน้า สามารถนำมาใช้ผลิตท่อต่างๆและสามารถจะเคลือบผิวได้หลายแบบ รวมทั้งฟอยล์อลูมิเนียมและผ้าใยแก้ว ชนิดแผ่นและม้วนก็เช่นเดียวกัน ผลิตภัณฑ์ร็อควูล มีคุณสมบัติเป็นฉนวนที่ดีเยี่ยม ในช่วงอุณหภูมิ -240 ^๐c ถึง +820 ^๐c ประโยชน์ใช้งานรวมถึงการกันความร้อนและเก็บเสียงทุกประเภทที่จำเป็นในกิจการผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้าอุตสาหกรรมต่างๆ อาคาร ระบบปรับอากาศ และระบบกันไฟ ตั้งแต่หลังคาจนถึงท่อไอน้ำ ตลอดจนผนังห้อง โดยช่วยลดเสียงลงได้ถึง 50% และช่วยลดค่าไฟได้ถึง 70%

RockTech WM is particularly suited to meet the specification requirements of thermal insulation, fire protection and sound attenuation of large process pipework, tanks, vessels, boilers and ducts. RockTech WM is suitable where high temperature combined with vibrations or high fire resistance is required. Retention of the fibres by the 25mm(1”) wire mesh prevents any cracking or breaking. Wire mesh can be made from either galvanized steel or stainless steel materials.

RockTech WM can be cut to required length and wrapped tightly around the equipment. The edges of each of each mattress should be butt jointed closely together to eliminate gaps and stitched using steel wire. RockTech WM can be secured to the equipment with steel bands or pins with speed clips.

Corrosion resistance	Roxul stone wool does not attack or damage other materials with which it comes into contact, neither does it further the corrosion of metal. No aggressive gasses are released when influenced by fire. RockTech WM meets the requirements for use over stainless steel in accordance with ASTM C795.
Compliance to standards	RockTech WM conform to ASTM C592 Type I and II, ‘Standard Specification for Mineral Fiber Blanket Insulation and Blanket-Type Pipe insulation (Metal-mesh Covered) (Industrial type). RockTech WM complies with the requirements of BS 3958 : Part 3 ‘Metal mesh faced mats and mattresses’ and can be used to satisfy BS 5422 ‘Thermal insulating materials on pipes, ductwork and equipment’.

RockTech BL is a lightweight insulation blanket manufactured in a variety of thicknesses, suitable for thermal insulation, fire protection and sound attenuation of both flat and slightly curved surfaces of tanks, vessels, boilers and ducts. It is supplied in compressed roll form for ease of installation over large areas.

The fibre structure of RockTech S provides the product with great dimensiobal stability and pressure resistance.

RockTech SPI is supplied as a one piece section of convenient length. Slit along the longitudinal axis for ease of application, the section readily snap closed into position over the pipe. The sections are molded to ensure a firm fit around the piping and the outer surface is ground to ensure the correct insulation thickness is achieved.

RockTech SPI is particularly for both hot and cold piping to conserve energy, maintain process temperatures, provide personnel protection, prevent condensation, and to reduce noise emission.

RockTech SPI is suitable for continuous use at 650% as determined in accordance with ASTM C411. Linear shrinkage (Length) tested in accordance with ASTM C356 returns a result of <2%
